October 2020 Newsletter

Ahoy lads and lasses!

Can you believe it's already October?!? Normally about now, we would be in the second week of Open Studios but alas, 2020 strikes again.

That being said, I am proud to be a featured artist during the next edition of Santa Cruz Open Studios, which is being held virtually this year! I have begun updating my portion of the artist website, and will keep you posted on when that launches near the end of the month. I hope you will join me and the other incredible artists online during this event.

If you are interesting in seeing my work in person, please feel free to make a private appointment with me. I will have very limited appointments available due to the impact of Covid-19 so please schedule early and preview my work on my website. I will require masks and will only allow visitors in an outside viewing area near my studio.

New Products

Although these aren't new, I have been getting a ton of orders for these rope bands. They're super inexpensive and fun to stack the polished and patina versions.

Two separate people this month ordered one ring and then loved it so much they ordered 3 more in different sizes and finishes. That is the best compliment I could get!

Featured Products

The first photograph is from a plein air painting class I recently taught. We focused on the Pumpkin Farm near my house. It was a lovely way to get outside and do something fun and socially distanced in these bizarre times. If you're interested in taking a class, contact me by email for available dates and pricing. Again, these will be very limited due to Covid-19 restrictions.

The two lower photographs are from the trip I took to Oregon in August. These and several other original paintings and prints are available for purchase on my website.

Commissions

I am currently working on a variety of art commissions, and I have a few slots open for new commissions. Let me help you make your vision become a reality by telling me about your ideas for unique jewelry, sculptures, or paintings!

Support My Work

One of the best ways to support my career is by becoming a monthly donor on Patreon, which has a variety of unique perks including exclusive updates, tutorials, early access, special discounts, and much more.

If you sign up for the Quarterly Card tier or above before the end of October, you will receive a hand written, high quality giclée print card from me this month!
Become a Patron

Despite 2020 being one of the most challenging years ever, the massive growth of support from my community has proven that positivity can always be attained— All it takes is artistic perspective toward how you look at things!

From the bottom of my heart, I can't thank you enough for shining a positive light on my life, career, and artistic expression. I appreciate you more than you could possibly imagine!

Cheers,

Courtney Renee Scruggs
