February 2021 Newsletter

Ahoy lads and lasses!

Alright, alright... January is over and it's time to get back to work. I didn't take as much time off as I would have liked, but there is work to be done!

I am happy to announce that I have 4 bronze pieces in a gallery opening!

Yes, that's right. You heard correctly. For the first time since the pandemic started, you can see my work in person at the Radius Gallery in the Tannery Arts Center. I want to say a huge thank you to Ann Osterman and Ann Hazels for putting this together for the Visual Arts Network artists. It's been so long since we've been able to display work safely and I am so appreciative of this opportunity!

These past few month I have also been diligently working away in my studio. This new set is featured in my newest Patreon tutorial video for my top tier patrons. I created part I of a two part video to show how intricate and time consuming these pieces are. Join at the $25 level to access that video and many others like it.

Door Knockers

A fan favorite has been these Shark Maid Door Knockers. I just cast two more of these limited edition pieces that are ready for patina. I am planning to patina them in the upcoming month. If you would like to reserve one or request a custom patina, please contact me or purchase one on whatknotstudios.com

Last but not least....

There is a new addition to the family here in Davenport. I was able to visit my loved ones at the end of January and I ended up acquiring my dream truck!

It may not look like much with it's peeling paint but this is the vehicle I learned to drive in at 14 years old and it's always held a special place in my heart! I am so happy to have it for the ability to create larger pieces and transport them on my own. I have always valued my independence and this helps me move towards that ultimate goal.

Cheers,
