March 2022 Newsletter

Ahoy lads and lasses,

I am happy to announce I will be in another show at The Drawing Room in San Francisco!
'We have a new space and over 200 Bay Area women-identifying artists who are sharing their work, their stories and their communities to engage and connect with YOU. This was an open call to artists across the bay area, to see what we have been up to these past 2 years and how the events - of which their are many, have impacted their work, studio practice and overall mental state.'
-Renee DeCarlo
This is the second year that these wonderful gallery owners have put on the show 'Women Rising' and this year it's to be bigger and better than ever in their new space on Valencia.

Enjoy live music at the opening reception on March 12 from 4 to 9 PM

March 26th from 12 - 4pm

You can find us right off Highway 1 between The Roadhouse and Slow Coast Wine Bar by Beauregard Vineyards.

Catch me on the 'Breaking North' Podcast

I am honored to have been a guest on the 'Breaking North' Podcast last week. The host, Zen Perry talks with artists, creators and characters to explore their personal approaches and processes to art and life.

Zen is entertaining and his interview will give you some insight to why I make my art and where it all comes from as well as some of the inspiration behind Scylla. Some of you might have even made it in there! You'll have to listen to find out...

You can find the episode here or wherever you listen to podcasts.

I hope everyone is having a Happy first month of spring and enjoying some of this rain we're getting here in California. I'm looking forward to seeing you more and more as festival season begins!

Cheers,

Courtney Renee Scruggs
