After many years of dreaming, I finally completed this 'piece of me' in 2024. Per usual, it has a cheeky name referring to both the idea that everything I create is a part of myself that gets portioned off and sold. It is also a bit of a play on the feistier side of me that says, "you want a piece of me?" Well, you're gonna have to pay for it!
But truly the reason I made this is that it is so hard to find good jewelry displays and this one takes the cake. Not only is it a beautiful work of art with the back design being inspired by the trellises of our local steam engine trains here in Felton but you can also display whatever necklace and earrings you'd like on this piece. As a jeweler it also functions as a forming tool. Bronze is a soft alloy that wont mar your design so it's a great tool for making jewelry. And last, but not least, the void in the center leaves ample room for dried flowers or a vase to display whatever a floral arrangement or whatever holiday décor you can come up with.
This multifunctional piece of art will be a centerpiece that is ever changing and adapting to every season.
