Sheep in the Catlins New Zealand Painting

New Zealand was a wild and inspiring place. As I was nearing the end of my trip realizing I wasn't going to be able to get any paintings in if I wasn't willing to paint in the rain, I stopped on the side of the road and did this painting from the inside of my warm rental car. It was so majestic watching the fog roll in and out of the mountainside. It felt like the right painting to make seeing as I witnessed more sheep than people on my voyages.
